I feel at home in the herd without talking in words. My body, their body, moving, language, sensing, touching, listening, smelling, feeling.

Being attentive for small changes in each other, in the environment. Feeling the weather. Checking in, holding space. Matching our steps.

They make me a better artist, because they make me a better person. They make me more balanced. I have to regulate myself in order to be a good partner for them. They give me back what I give them.

They teach me about forgiveness, patience, being soft but also being clear. Being honest, not hiding things under layers. They teach me about commitment, coming back every time. With an idea, or a plan. But also being creative and open to change the plan if necessary. To not force, or tighten my grip. But to ask for little steps, stopping when it feels good, to not overask, so we both want to get back to that feeling. To feel gratitude for every step. And to mark these great moments by being present together.

To be able to trust the other, share the responsibility. And to give the other space to find an answer or a way.

For me it is the best feeling ever to learn from another species by experience and observation.
